It’s the publication date of my second book, and I’m still grappling with what that means.

To be completely honest, I didn’t know what to expect when this day arrived. I’ve been a jumble of nerves and emotions.

There are a lot of things people don’t tell you about releasing a second book.

For me, my first book did so surprisingly well, that I had no idea what to expect this time round.

Was the first book a fluke? Would people remember Bleak and the gang a year later? What would it mean if it didn’t do as well?

Those questions are just the tip of the iceberg that plagued my mind as we entered into release week.

This book was harder to write than the first. I definitely changed and grew (hopefully) as a writer as I went through rewrite after rewrite.

However, we’re finally here. At last.

How you can help…

A while back I wrote a pretty extensive post ‘13 Ways To Help An Indie Author With Their Book Release‘, so I’d suggest checking that out if you’re interested.

But for a quick recap…

  1. Buy the book
  2. Share the purchase links on social media
  3. Tell your friends and family about the book
  4. Share photos of the book
  5. Leave a review on Amazon and Goodreads ????

What’s next?

I’m currently about to start rewrites of Book III in The Oremere Chronicles.

This baby will hopefully be out mid next year.

But don’t worry, there are six existing prequel stories to keep you entertained, and more on the way now Book II has officially launched.

For now, it’s all about REIGN OF MIST.

Anything you can do to help spread the word would be amazing.

Finally, I wanted to say thank you for your ongoing support. I’m truly grateful.

With my best wishes, as ever,

Helen
