For a while now, I’ve been wondering what I’ll say on this day. For the majority of my life, I’ve wondered, when I finally put a book out into the world – what will it feel like?

Now that day is here, it’s a little overwhelming.

Heart of Mist was not the book I thought I would come into the world first. But I’m so glad it is.

This book has been a life raft, an escape, a learning curve and an absolute thrill.

It’s taught me so much about myself as a writer, as a publisher and as someone who’s part of a writing community.

Heart of Mist was the book I wrote for myself, for joy, for entertainment, and now it’s here. Two years later.

I wrote the first draft in just 6 weeks, most of which was part of NaNoWriMo. It was the first time I’ve written a novel like this – hammered out the words, revelled in the freedom of writing for myself, and most importantly, being closely supported by two of my best writing friends (looking at you Kyra and Claire).

I’m so so happy to be able to share this book with the world at long last!

How you can help…

A while back I wrote a pretty extensive post ‘13 Ways To Help An Indie Author With Their Book Release‘, so I’d suggest checking that out if you’re interested.

But for a quick recap…

  1. Buy the book
  2. Share the purchase links on social media
  3. Tell your friends and family about the book
  4. Share photos of the book
  5. Leave a review on Amazon and Goodreads 🙂

What’s Next?

I’m currently in the final stages of writing Book II in The Oremere Chronicles.

This baby will be out around this time next year. But don’t worry, there are three existing prequel stories to keep you entertained, and three more on the way now Book I has officially launched.

For now, it’s all about HEART OF MIST. Anything you can do to help spread the word would be amazing.

Finally, I wanted to say thank you for your ongoing support. I’m truly grateful.

With my best wishes, as ever,
