As if this week hasn’t been big enough with the launch of Kindling Volume II (we’ll get to that in another post shortly), I found out yesterday morning that I’ve been shortlisted for an incredible award.
Along with the talented Chloe Higgins (NSW), Eliza Henry-Jones (VIC), Ellen Van Neervan (QLD), and Jane Howard (SA), I’ve been shortlisted for the inaugural Outstanding Achievement by a Young Person in the Literary Arts Award.
To be nominated, let alone shortlisted for something like this is a real honour, and a really proud moment for me. To have it announced the morning after the Kindling Volume II launch was even better.
I’m on such a high right now, and want to take a moment to thank everyone who has helped me get to this point. It’s been an amazing journey so far, and I can’t wait to see where it leads me next.
