Red Hands is under consideration by two publishers. This is pretty thrilling news for a first-time novelist.
It certainly hasn’t been easy these last few months – sending my work off to people without knowing how much of it will be read and if I’ll actually ever hear back. But so far, I have to say – the publishing industry hasn’t been as horrible as it has been made out to be. By that I mean – publishers have gone out of their way to respond to me and interact with me, which is certainly not what I was expecting.
The two publishers who currently have my manuscript, responded within mere days of receiving my pitch. That’s pretty incredible, and I’m extremely grateful.
So what else is news? Well, I’m working with Writer’s Edit on a big project – our first anthology Kindling. It’s shaping up to be some kind of wonderful. I’m very much looking forward to seeing where this takes me, and the brand.
Until next time,
Helen
