When I used to do ballet, one thing that I always thought would enhance my enjoyment of it was if the music was different. Why couldn’t we perform classical ballet to modern music? While this wasn’t exactly possible while doing exams for the Queen’s RAD, there are choreographers and dancers out there doing it, and doing it well.
I came across this incredible video of “Russia’s ballet bad boy” Sergei Polunin, dancing to Hozier’s ‘Take Me to Church’… Wouldn’t it be amazing if this were part of a series?
