Manuscript Assessment

A Manuscript Assessment (sometimes known as a ‘developmental’, ‘structural’ or ‘substantive’ edit’) looks at the overall structure and style of your manuscript.

This is not a copyedit or proofread and should only be undertaken during the later stages of drafting.

Should you undertake a manuscript assessment, I provide a detailed report that focuses on strengthening elements such as plot, pace, point of view, characterisation and writing style and genre.

This report will be between 2,000-2,500 words long and will be structured with subheadings.

My specialty is fantasy (young adult and adult), but I do accept other genres as well (with the exception of non-fiction).
